Upgrading your Conveyor Transfer Points is as easy as 1,2,3...

airportConveyors_width

1. Specify belt width.

The first step in ensuring you’re choosing the correct Segmented Transfer Plate (STP) is to accurately measure the width of the conveyor belt in your baggage handling system.

Our STP’s can effectively handle belt widths (depending on gap size) with the following measurements:

  • 24” (610 mm)
  • 36” (914 mm)
  • 42” (1067 mm)
  • 48” (1219 mm)
  • 60” (1524 mm)

Please note that the mounting bar is 2" longer than the specified belt width.

2. Determine transfer size.

The next step in the decision-making process is to calculate the transfer size between the conveyor belts in your facility.

Doing so will help to uncover the required gap size in the transfer plate that is needed for full and complete coverage in the baggage transferring process.

Our transfer width size capabilities range from 1.5” (38 mm) to 10” (254 mm) depending on your applicational needs

3. Determine mounting bar location.

Finally, you will have to find the correct mounting bar location. This is entirely dependent on your facility’s in-place system.

Once these steps are completed, you determine the size of Segmented Transfer Plate that will fit your specific needs.

Please note that you may need to also determine if an offset is required from 4-10" gaps. STP 1.5-3” gaps are not recommended for belt to chute/slide applications.
